Reinstalling Carbonite Safe for Windows XP and Vista

New installs are no longer supported for Windows XP and Vista but you can reinstall an existing Carbonite subscription for Windows XP or Vista by signing into your account on our website and clicking the Reinstall Carbonite link in the Computer options drop-down menu (screenshots below). Please note that you can not add subscriptions for additional Windows XP or Vista computers that are not already installed on your account, but you can move your existing subscription for Windows XP or Vista to a different XP or Vista-based computer.

  • When you reinstall, your backup will continue from where it left off.

If you encounter an error while following these instructions, please see this article.
