Changing Your Credit Card for Carbonite Safe

If the billing information associated with your account is incorrect or out of date, you can add a credit card on file and then remove the old credit card. You can update your credit card information by signing into your account at https://account.carbonite.com/Account/CreditCards or with the button below.

For your security, updates to existing credit cards can only be added as a new credit card on the Carbonite account. After it has been added with the new information, you can remove the old version of the credit card.

Once signed in, you will be able to add a new credit card. You can also remove a credit card, if you have more than one on file.

You can also enable automatic renewal to further protect your files.

Add a New Credit Card

To add a new credit card on file, sign in at https://account.carbonite.com/CreditCard/AddPaymentMethod or with the button below.

You will be brought to a page where you will be able to enter your credit card and billing information. Once you are done entering all the required information, click Save to proceed. If you had a default credit card on file, this new credit card will now be your default card. It will be used for all recurring automatic transactions.

Your credit card information will be saved within your account.

Remove a Credit Card

To remove a credit card on file, sign into your account at https://account.carbonite.com/Account/CreditCards or with the button below.

After you login, click Remove on the card you no longer want on file.

You cannot remove all credit cards because one is required for Carbonite renewals. However, you can deactivate automatic renewal for each computer that is listed on your account and Carbonite will not use any credit card for renewal unless you manually renew your subscriptions from your Carbonite account.
Click Remove

Click Yes, remove my card to confirm the removal of a credit card.

Click Yes, remove my card

You will see an alert that confirms your credit card was successfully removed.
