Transferring Your Carbonite Safe Subscription to Start a New Backup

You can transfer your Carbonite Safe subscription to another computer to start a new backup.

Solution:

  1. Sign in at https://account.carbonite.com or with the button below.

Sign In

  1. From the Computer options dropdown menu, select Move my Subscription.
    Within the dashboard, click Computer Options and select Move my Subscription
  2. Choose Move my subscription and start a new backup and click Continue to Download.

  3. On the next page, click Download now.
  4. Open the downloaded Carbonite setup file.
  5. When prompted with “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?” click Yes.
  6. Review the Terms and Conditions and click I agree.
  7. After the installation completes, click Close Window.
  8. In the Don’t forgot to resume your backup popup window, click Resume my backup.

  9. Select the checkbox and click Resume my backup.

You successfully transferred Carbonite to the computer. Carbonite will scan for files and start backing up within a few minutes.
