Backing Up OneDrive Files

Carbonite automatically backs up OneDrive files that are synced on your computer.

By default, OneDrive files are backed up with Carbonite if you selected the Automatic setup option when you initially installed. If you are unsure whether these files have been selected for backup, you can navigate to them within Windows Explorer to check.

Finding the OneDrive File

The location below is the default location for OneDrive to place the files on your computer.

Operating SystemDefault File Location
Windows 10C:\Users\[User_Name]\OneDrive
Windows 8C:\Users\[User_Name]\OneDrive
Windows 7C:\Users\[User_Name]\OneDrive

Carbonite will only be able to select the OneDrive files that exist on your computer. If you selectively chose folders to sync, you may want to review your chosen OneDrive folders and consider disabling Files-On Demand so Carbonite can select them for backup.
