Removing Computers from Your Carbonite Safe Backup Pro Account

Administrators on the Carbonite Safe Backup Pro dashboard can remove computers from their account. Before you delete a computer from your account, you will need to determine which user has the computer has assigned to them.
Deleting a computer from the dashboard will permanently delete the computer and the backup will be unrecoverable by the user or Carbonite. To ensure you choose the right backup to delete, please ensure that you review backed up files before proceeding.
- Sign in as an administrator to your Carbonite account at https://account.carbonite.com. This will bring you to the Backup Dashboard, which will include an overview of your account and data usage.
- Click the name of the user or administrator who currently has the computer assigned to them. You may need to scroll down to the tabbed list of users and computers. Please note that there may be additional tabs, such as Servers if your plan includes a license for Carbonite Safe Server Backup.
- You'll see the list of all computers assigned to that user. Find the computer you want to delete, click its dropdown menu under COMPUTER ACTIONS and select Delete computer.
- Click Yes, delete this computer in the popup to confirm deleting the computer.
To delete Carbonite Safe Server Backup backups, you can use the Delete All Backups Finished Before function.
