Renewing Your Carbonite Safe Backup Pro Subscription

The easiest method to purchase a subscription is through your Carbonite account. The subscriptions available for purchase depend on how you originally signed up for Carbonite and which subscription you originally purchased for your computer.

Sign into your Carbonite Safe Pro account as the Billing Owner at https://account.carbonite.com.

There are three different cases in which you can renew your Carbonite Safe Pro subscription.

Automatically Renewing Your Subscription

To have your subscription renewed automatically, you will need to activate it through your dashboard. This method of renewing your subscription requires you to do nothing as long as you do not want to change your current plan and storage.

After you have signed in, click Account Summary and you will see your renewal status displayed under the Current subscription panel.

If you are not within 60 days of your expiration date, you will not see the Upcoming subscription panel displayed.

If your current plan meets your company's needs, you can just wait for the automatic renewal to take place. However, if you desire to make changes to your current plan, please click the Make changes to your subscription link and you can change your plan and add additional storage.

You can only renew your subscription this way if your subscription is currently active and you are not enrolled in Automatic Renewal.

After you have signed into your account, you will see a message displayed in the Dashboard indicating how much time you have left until your expiration and a button to renew. To renew your subscription, click the Renew Now button.

You will be able to select the same package or choose a different package at this time. Select the package that best suits your needs. Once you have selected your desired package, select your subscription length and any additional storage you would like to purchase.

The next screen will display your billing and credit card information on file, your choice of subscription, the purchase price, and the total amount to be charged. To change your credit card information, click Edit payment info. You can also change your selected plan by clicking Change plan. If you have a promotional code, enter it in the Offer code field. Once you are satisfied with your selection, click Complete my purchase to continue.

If you are outside of the United States, you will be prompted to enter the Value Added Tax (VAT) ID.

Once your purchase is successful, you will be able to print your receipt. An email with your order details will be sent to the email address associated with your Carbonite Safe Pro account. Your computer's subscription will be renewed and your normal Carbonite operations will continue. Click Explore my dashboard to return to your Dashboard.

Renewing an Expired Subscription

After you have signed into your account, you will see a message displayed in the Dashboard indicating that your Carbonite subscription has expired. This message will be different depending on whether you enrolled in automatic renewal or you elected to renew manually. You will be unable to view any other part of the account until you have renewed your subscription.

To renew your subscription, click the Renew Now button.

You will be able to select the same package or choose a different package at this time. Select the package that best suits your needs. Once you have selected your desired package, select your subscription length and any additional storage you would like to purchase.
