Moving Computers Between Users

Carbonite administrators can move one of their user's computers to another user or administrator. This is helpful should you need to maintain a backup or have another user maintain the backup.

Sign into your Carbonite account as an administrator at https://account.carbonite.com.

Sign In

Once signed in, select the user or administrator you wish to move the computer from.

Select a user

Within the user's detail page, select Assign to a new user from the Computer Actions drop-down menu.

Select a computer

You will receive a pop-up window with a list of users and administrators. Select the user or administrator to move the computer to and click Continue.

Select a user to move it to

The computer will now be accessible by the user or administrator to whom it was assigned.
