Adding Computers to Your Carbonite Safe Backup Pro Account

Administrators on the Carbonite Safe Backup Pro dashboard can add computers to their account. While there is no additional cost for adding computers to your account, the new backup will contribute to the shared storage amount for the current Carbonite plan.
- Sign in as an administrator to your Carbonite account at https://account.carbonite.com.
- Within the Dashboard, click the Install Carbonite on this computer.
- If you do not have access to the machine for a user you want to install Carbonite for, you can Invite others to backup and fill out the user or administrator contact information. They will receive instructions by email on how to sign in and install Carbonite for his or her computer.
- Add a new user or select an existing user you want Carbonite to be associated with and click Continue.

- On the next screen, click Download now and run the file that downloads to begin the Carbonite installation.
In addition to adding a computer through the main Backup Dashboard, you can also navigate to a given user's summary page by scrolling down in the Backup Dashboard to the tabbed list of computers and users and clicking on a user's name. From the user summary page, you will have options to manage the user account and any associated computers. You can click the Add a Computer button to add an additional Carbonite workstation license for that user.
Adding a computer through the user summary page will not prompt you to download the Carbonite installer, so it can be helpful if not at the computer you would like to install Carbonite on. Instead, instructions to install Carbonite will be sent to the user's email address.
