Backing Up IncrediMail Email

You can include IncrediMail data in your backup by navigating to the files and selecting them for back up. By default, IncrediMail stores your data within your user directory and is located within the following folders, depending on your operating system:
Windows XP
- C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]Your [User Name] will vary depending on how you set up your computer. If you do not see your own name, your files are most likely in something generic, such as Owner or User.\Local Settings\Application Data\IM\Identities
Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10
- C:\Users\[User Name]Your [User Name] will vary depending on how you set up your computer. If you do not see your own name, your files are most likely in something generic, such as Owner or User.\AppData\Local\IM\Identities
- Click on your Windows Start button and select Computer or My Computer (on Windows 8, press the Windows Key + D on your keyboard and click the File Explorer icon in the taskbar).
- Navigate to the location of your IncrediMail data.
- Right-click the IM folder and select Carbonite; Back this up. (If the only option you see is Don't back this up, the folder is already selected for back up.)
Note: If you have trouble accessing the folder containing your IncrediMail data, it may be hidden. You can show hidden folders through your Windows Explorer and then navigate to the above location.
You will notice a colored status dot appear on the folder. When it turns green, your email data will be backed up with Carbonite.
