Finding Your Computer's Name

To find your computer name in Windows 8, open the Search charm by pressing the Windows key + F on your keyboard. Alternatively, hover your mouse over the top right side of your computer screen to bring up the Charm bar and click Search.
Within the Search charm, type Computer Name and press Enter on your keyboard. This will perform a search of your system.
Click Everywhere under the Search field and click See the name of this computer in the results panel.
The PC Information window will be displayed. Your computer name will be displayed in the Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings panel.

Through My Account

Sign into your Carbonite account at https://account.carbonite.com.
Once logged in, your computer's name will be displayed under your computer's nickname.
Safe Backup Pro
Your Business Dashboard can also be used to find your computer name. However, if you have given your computer a nickname, it is highly probable that this nickname will be listed on your account and not the actual computer name. If you need the actual computer name, please select one of the operating systems above.
First, sign into your account at https://account.carbonite.com with your email address and password.
If you have signed in as an administrator, please select your username or a username from the list.
After you have signed into your account, you should see your computer(s) listed. Please locate your computer name or computer nick name under the COMPUTERS column.
