Upgrading Your Customers Subscriptions

You can upgrade your customers' accounts at any time to activate additional features for them. These additional features depend on which subscription the customer is being upgraded to. The purchase price will be prorated depending on how much time is left on the customer's current subscription.

To upgrade a customer's subscription, sign into your account at https://portal.carbonite.com.

Once signed in, click Manage my accounts within the Quick Links section for Carbonite Safe.

Then, click the Accounts tab to see a list of all your customers' subscriptions and their respective product plans. If you see an Upgrade link for the account you would like to upgrade, click it and and proceed to the next steps.

If you do not see an Upgrade link below the expiration date, select the account you want to upgrade from the list.

Within the customer's account, click Upgrade and follow the on screen instructions.

For a Safe Pro customer, the upgrade button will be located directly below their name:

For a Safe customer, the upgrade button will be located below the computer you wish to upgrade:

A screen will display the available upgrades for the customer. Click Buy to choose a plan from the list.

The list of available plans will vary based on the customer's current subscription.

After selecting a new plan, a popup will appear. Select the subscription length for the upgrade and click Continue to checkout. You will be directed through the purchase process.

For Carbonite Safe Pro plans, you will also be able to select additional storage space during the upgrade process.

Once your purchase is successful, the customer's subscription will be upgraded. Their new expiration date and subscription level will be reflected in your Portal and their account.
