Getting Started with Carbonite Mobile

Carbonite Mobile is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices free of charge and allows you to utilize the Anytime Anywhere Access feature of Carbonite in a viewing format that is optimized for your mobile device.

Carbonite Mobile does not back up files on your mobile device.

Carbonite Mobile allows you to view files backed up from any computer or computers on your account. You can also save files from Carbonite Mobile to your device and, if you have a compatible app installed on your device, open them locally.

Carbonite Mobile is intended for use by one user at a time. If you are the Billing Owner or an Administrator of a Carbonite Safe Backup Pro account and need to manage another user's computer, please log into your account dashboard directly.

Carbonite Mobile can easily be downloaded through the Google Play Store or App Store by following the instructions below.

Setting up Carbonite Mobile on Android

Carbonite Mobile on your Android can be installed from the Google Play Store.

Download Carbonite Mobile for Android

On your Android device, tap the Play Store app to open the Google Play Store.

Open the Play Store

Within the Google Play Store, search "Carbonite" and select Carbonite Mobile from the list.

Search the Google Play Store for Carbonite. Tap Carbonite Mobile from the search results.

Tap Install and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install Carbonite Mobile.

Once installed, tap the Carbonite icon within your list of apps. With Carbonite Mobile open on your mobile device, tap Log in and log in with your Carbonite username and password.

Log into your account

After you have initially logged into your account, you will be able to take advantage of the Access feature.This allows you to view, download, and share your files backed up with Carbonite from your Android device.

Setting up Carbonite Mobile on iOS

Carbonite Mobile on your iOS device lets you download and share files backed up on your computer. The easiest method to install Carbonite Mobile on your iOS device is through the App Store.

Download Carbonite Mobile for iOS

On your iOS device, tap the App Store app to open the App Store.

Open the App Store

Within the App Store, search for "Carbonite" and select Carbonite Mobile from the list.

Search Page

Tap Install and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install Carbonite Mobile.

Once installed, tap the Carbonite icon within your list of Apps. With Carbonite Mobile open on your mobile device, input your Carbonite username and password and tap Log in.

Log into your account

When you log into your account for the first time, the app will display a list of computers on your account and let you access the backed up data.
